Hi my name is Robin, I’m 10 years old and I was born in Hawaii. I live with my Dad, mom, brother, sister, and grandma. My dad is in the military so we had to go from place to place.

I will be telling you some reasons why I sometimes don’t like being a military child. Sometimes I don’t like being a military child because you have to leave all of your friends, and sometimes even your family members. You would also have to leave your favorite stores and restaurants! So when the my family had to move to Okinawa, we were so sad but we were also kind of happy. So we celebrated because we were moving to Japan! We celebrated with ice cream and spaghetti! We were also crying a bit because we had to leave our grandma and our home. Also, sometimes when you move it could take a long time.

Some reasons I like being a military child is because you get to meet new friends and try a lot of good food! You also get to go to new places and buy lots of souvenirs! When I first got to Japan, me and my family went to a ramen place and it was amazing. Another reason is that you could also go to places in Japan that you have been waiting for like, I always wanted to go to Universal Studios and I was able to! It was so fun. Also, you get to travel!
