2025/Lena-

I have been a Military Child my whole life. I grew up moving to different places every few years. I grew up going to different schools. Being a Military Child is fun and at the same time hard. You move from one place to another. You adapt to that place and don’t want to move. But you have to, and then the cycle starts over. You have to learn to say goodbye to people, places, and things. You might have to learn different laws and how to be safe in different locations.

Military Children have been to multiple different spots around the world. I’ve been to Okinawa twice, California twice, North Carolina and probably many more I can’t remember. I like traveling and seeing different places and exploring cultures but I’d like to stay in one place.

Military Children may not have a family member in the Military at their house. That’s called deployment. Deployment means he/she may not be at your house for a while. My dad was gone for two years when I was in California.

Being a Military Child has its ups and downs. If you're reading this as another Military Child, you understand what I’ve said. Happy Month Of The Military Child!
