The darkness conceals

What is past your torch’s view

But you can hear them, the echoes

Of travelers, just like you

Sometimes you meet someone

You wander together, in torch’s heat

But at a crossroads, you part

Never again to meet

“Were You Alone?”

Always wandering, never to find

Someone who stays in sight

Until one day, you meet a stranger

Who understands your plight

“Are You Alone?”

They ask you the question

They were asking themselves, too

“No, I Am Not Alone,

Because, Now, Neither Are You”
