Where I Have Been

I was born into a military family. I’ve been constantly moving since. I was first in Texas and moved to North Carolina. For two years, I stayed there and made some good friends. But shortly after, we left for South Carolina, where we stayed for three years. Again I made some friends in school but again I had to move. Then we went to my favorite place, Okinawa, Japan. We stayed there for five years and had the best time. Then my family was sent back to the United States. We moved to Yuma, Arizona, which has been my least favorite place due to the schools. Finally, we went to Iwakuni which has been a much better experience. The hardest challenge that I have faced as a military child is that I have had to say good-bye to everyone I know as I move to an unfamiliar place. But I have gotten used to it over time: it's just an obstacle I need to overcome.
