Being a military kid is really fun. My school asked me to write a story about being a military kid even though I go to an all military school. It sounded like a really fun writing piece so I guess I’ll start. Hi my name is Emma Wyle and this is a day in my life. But first let me tell you about my family. My dad works on the submarine while my mom has a cookie business. My sister, Eli, is 2 so she goes to daycare and I go to Elementary school.

I wake at 7:00 am. My school doesn’t even start until 9 but I like getting ready early. Then I get to watch TV for an hour. My dad heads off to work around 7:30 and then my mom gets my sister at 8:00. As my mom is getting Eli ready I pack our lunches and get in the car. Once we get to school my friend Lindsey is waiting for me. Me and Lindsey are best friends. I’m sad that she is PCS-ing soon. That means she is moving because her parents have orders to another place. We walk through the doors and go to Ms. Johnson’s class for a while then it’s lunch time. I packed mac and cheese for lunch today. It was delicious. Then we go back to class. Finally it’s the end of the day and we go back to my house. My mom is with her business manager my auntie. I greet hello to them and hug my sister.

I went to my room and did my homework until dinner time. After dinner I get ready for bed and then the cycle starts again. Thank you for reading about a day in my life it was really fun and as you can see being a military kid isn’t so bad after all. Love all you military families, from Emma Wyle
