Long Lost Friends

Moving to a small town from a big city was hard. I moved to Guam, a little island. The move was not a fun Experience because I have two siblings. So the whole flight they were so annoying and I got barely any sleep. The flight to Guam was a 19 hour flight. So when I got off the plane I was happy to not sit on my but. Moving from a big city to a small town was hard because I was 12 and no one is my age because I’m home schooled and it is hard to make friends at my age. My mom says there's a lot of kids your age at middle school but the thing is I do not go to middle school. “You just have to go meet them.” She said with a smile. “ Yes I know but I’m shy,” I said. “ Oh you're not shy, you are just nervous to meet new people!” Said with confidence. It was a new week and my mom broke the news to me. She said I’m going to public school. I begged to stay and be home school but my mom said she has to go to work. To add My dad is in the military so I barely see him. So my mom is going to work all the time then I will have no one to talk to and I have no friends to talk to because all my friends are back home. My mom convinced me to go to public school because I need to have friends. Summer was over and it was my first day of public school. I was so nervous to go into those buildings, to make new friends, meet new people, and meet new teachers. Going into those doors is hard for me because of my anxiety and stress levels. But eventually I made it to the first period. I sat down with this girl and she was so kind and she had a goofy personality and we instantly became friends. I was actually surprised to actually make a new friend. The whole day I was with my new friend Emma. Eventually it was time to go home. I actually survived a day at Public School. When I went home I told my mom everything that happened! Emma showed me around the military base of Guam. A couple years have passed and now we are best friends for life. I have been best friends for 10 years now.
