I am from Land of the Morning Calm,

From famous music, the extraordinary country with beautiful beaches.

I am from a filial piety under humbleness.

It tasted or smelled sour, spicy and salty.

I am from the place where Osan Air Base is, major transportation hub

Whose Jeju Island I remember

As if it were my own.

I am from 한복 and 부채춤,

From Hope and 綾城具氏 .

I am from the diligent

And the hard working.

From 구예은 and “Worry about yourself.”

I am from ebony and ivory

With a mellow flute

And ten harmonious melodies I can play myself.

I’m from youthful look and the appearance of moisture on the skin,

K-pop and drama.

From the friends I’ve lost to the new ones I made,

To the achievements used to keep me happy.

Under my bed was music spilling melodies,

A box of purple jars

To drift beneath my dreams.

I am from those moments -

Letting away friends before they PCS.

I am a dandelion full of peace from the family tree.
