I am from the Small Wonder,

From the place of the Old State House and Silver Lake Park.

I am from the Black Hills under the clear baby-blue sky

It smelled of nature and rocks.

I am from The Bull Skin,

The Land of Cervantes

Whose farmland I remember

As if it were my own.

I am from pollution and jets,

From Catherine and Christopher.

I am from the faithful

And the forgiving,

From “Be quiet!” and “Let's go!”

I am from Minecraft

With a Nintendo Switch

And ten other video games I can play myself.

I’m from Jamón ibérico and Korean BBQ

Meat lovers pizza and Stroganoff.

From the friend lost to the PCS

To the fun times used to keep me occupied.

Under my bed was a purple bin spilling memories,

A joy in my life

To drift beneath my dreams.

I am from those moments-

Gasping when I see something cool

I am a dandelion traveling with the family tree.
