Hi, my name is Charlie. I am a military child. Both of my parents have been in the military, and my dad is active. Being a military child has let me explore the world, you get to see new places, explore different cities, and make bunches of memories and friends. One thing about being a military child is you often have to move often and that can be bad, but it can also be very teaching. I move about every 3 or so years, and that gives me just enough time to be comfortable with the environment, the people around me, the routines. And then I move, and restart. I have gotten used to changing homes and that is something good. A lot of military children get used to that, but if a person that has lived in the same place all their life and had to move that might be a little bit more difficult than a military child. But it can be very hard for some people, the people that don’t have a very good reaction to change. I once had a best friend and we had the best bond ever. I would go to her house after school and the next day she would come to mine. We went to beaches together, movies, amusement parks, playgrounds, arcades, and much more. But that was about 5 years ago. It can be sad to see pictures of her again and thinking I will never see her again but being a military child gives you that shot. I still have so much hope that I will be able to see her someday, somewhere. So, my name is Charlie and I am so happy to be a military brat.
