Nine years was less of a divide than I thought.

It's a new building,

And I do different sports,

but still we are connected.

Whether it's by the last name,

Or his old friend teaching in the classroom next to mine,

Or his banner in the gym,

Or even his jersey number.

We share the same school,

But a different building.

Same smile, but nine years apart.
