Yokota High School
I’m packing up my memories in a suitcase There’s a guy in orange An ace of hearts A fortune-telling water bottle And a trip to summerland A book of poems and paint With echoes of laughter on the pages Three school dances and a mango duck The taste of burger king hershey milkshakes I won’t forget a single one Not the endless rounds of speed or the selfies in bathrooms Not Wednesday night dinners or watching Aladdin Not the houses that were my other homes Not my friends who are going or gone Some to California, Arizona, Washington But they’ll stay in my heart Only one and a half years in Japan And I already have a suitcase full of memories
