I am not where I was born

But rather everywhere I've been

All the “Hellos” and “Goodbyes” I’ve said

Have made me who I am

From holidays with my whole family

And Christmas dinners hopping

with the smell of crab cakes and shrimp

To ones with my sister, mom, dad, and ramen

All the people I have met

Every friend that I have made

Has somehow come and gone but yet

The memories have stayed

So when you ask me where I’m from

You can't expect one place

I'll always say that my whole life

I’ve kept packed my suitcase

I’m from the east, but I’ve been west

Even been down south, but still

Where I am from is shaped by those

Whose hearts have kept mine filled
