Where I am From Poem

Born into rich meadow pastures

Texas sun beating down on my skin

Rolling in the mud, days filled with laughter

Street lights on and “Entrá, ya vamos a cenar”

To

Snow glistening from the tip of Pikes Peak

Whipping winds coloring my cheeks

Long hikes through steep mountain trails

Thirteen years worth of tales

To

Upend and leave, time fleets

Days spent alone wandering quaint streets

Hidden gems unknown to tourists, though in a way I am one myself..

The blossoms bloom, as do I

This time flies by in the blink of an eye
