Every few years, we move again

Our boxes are packed and we say our goodbyes

I’ve lose friends that just became my friends

And I step into a new beginning

My dad hasn’t ever deployed

But the military is still in our walls

Our schedules and life

In the way we’re always ready to shift

I’ve learned pride from my dad,

As well as grit from starting over

I’ve learned to adapt

Without losing who I am
