Throughout my life, my family has been in the military. It wasn't until I was in middle school did I learn what it was like to live off base. Because of my dad's job, we're always moving and I was never able to get attached to one place. Then there were times when my dad had to go on deployment and I wouldn't see him for weeks. There were good sides to constantly moving, though. I got to see new places, meet new people and learn new things. These experiences helped me mature and become who I am now. I have to thank my dad for his hard work and my mom for taking care of us. I truly do appreciate what they have done for me and allowing me to live this life.
