Growing up as a military child has been a bit tough, but also special. Since we move every few years, I've never really had a permanent "home.” Instead, home is wherever my family is, and I've learned to adjust to new places and make new friends quickly. It's not always easy, but it's made me strong and flexible. One of the hardest parts is moving. I have to say goodbye to friends and places I love and start over somewhere new. It can be sad, but it's also exciting because I get to see new places, meet new people, and learn about different cultures. I've gotten used to making new friends and finding my way in new schools and towns.
Another challenge is dealing with deployments. Knowing that my parent might be away for a long time is hard, but I also feel proud that they're doing something important. It teaches me to be strong and independent, even when I’m worried or miss them a lot. Living this way has also given me a chance to see different parts of the world. I’ve met all kinds of people and learned about different ways of life. It’s helped me become open-minded and comfortable with change. I'm not afraid of new things anymore, and 1 know how to make the best out of every situation. In the end, being a military child has made me more resilient. It's taught me how' to adapt, be proud of my family's service, and appreciate the time we have together. Even though I don't have one permanent home, 1 know that home is where my family is, and the experiences I've had will stay wide me forever.
