We travel the world across countries near and far though we may not fight, we salute the stars. Our mothers and fathers go off and serve but we stay here awaiting their return, Hoping and praying every night they stay safe. That they are far from danger no sign of a strafe. No matter how far, no matter how long we keep them close with heart and with song. Singing “I'm proud to be an American”. We shall never forget why we are free, we stand strong and hold fast to all who agree. Children everywhere adorned in purple banding together. Over miles of ocean, under skies of blue, we are all military kids through and through.
