My family and I found out we were going to Japan, on October 20th, 2019. It was our 1st ever move, we found out we were going to move in May, but because of COVID it got pushed back to June, then July, and finally September. It was our first move, so it was stressful but at the same time my dad was deployed. On October 20th, 2019 me, my brothers, and my mom were all going to an open house because we were planning on moving into a better neighborhood, but as soon as we were about to leave the house my mom got a call and it was my dad calling saying, “Go back inside we can't buy a house anymore, we are going to JAPAN!”.

I remember the feeling I felt when I heard the news, my heart sank like the Titanic, and my face was as red as a cherry tomato. So many emotions when hearing this one sentence. But being in Japan now is very cool, it's like a once in a lifetime experience. Being a military connected child is a cool experience, you get to travel and see different cultures and places, but at the same time it sucks when you move and you have to make new friends, and then you leave those friends because you have to move again.
