“Where are you from?” The question sounds simplistic. We move every one to three years, Can I have a home?
Am I from Mississippi, Where I was born? Am I from Arizona, where I moved from?
Am I from Italy, Where I loved the culture, Where I traveled, Where I lived my favorite years?
Am I from Nebraska, Where I started swim, Where I learn to tie my shoes, Where I started school?
Am I from Colorado, Where my parents met, Where they went to college, Where I want to go to school?
Should I go farther back? My family has roots in Ireland, Or was it Scotland? Am I just American?
Why can’t I just say one place, Why can’t it just be easy? Every time I find a home, I am moved to another place.
I may not know, where I am from But I know where home is Home is where my family is So that is where I am from.
