It’s been a long day at school. My dad sits my brother and I down on the couch. “We’re moving to Korea '' Of course I’m happy, and so is my brother, but then I start to realize everything that we must do and the people I have to leave. I'm no longer very excited about leaving and feel like I will have to start over again, where it won’t work out, just like before. I’m leaving now, I just finished hanging out with my friend. “I’ll be back if I don't die on the plane!” As I leave the door, I hug her not knowing if I’ll ever see her again. Not too long ago at a Rudino’s, my aunt was crying about us leaving. Of course, she’d be sad, we’ve known them for almost my whole life. It was hard leaving everyone I’ve known. This is my first time out of state, and now leaving the country as my first DoDEA school. It was scary on a plane for the first time. In the movies they look super comfortable and spacy, but they really aren’t. I was lightheaded for the first part of the plane flight, nervousness filling the aisle, but eventually, it was over, and we were here. Adjusting is never easy but it's been fun being in a new place with a new language and new friends, everything is going to be better.
