I love being a military child because I enjoy going to new schools and meeting new people like Grant. Grant is a nice friend and so is Evelyn. They both are kind and funny. It is great being a military child because I can spend time with my new friends and go to new places with my family. I like learning about new cultures and eating new foods. For example, when I moved to Okinawa I learned lots of new things like their cool cultures, such as one of their fun holidays called Kinobody. Kinobody is a holiday when you put out fish that represent your family. These fish are made out of fabric. Some cool foods that are in Okinawa are sushi, such as onigiri and another one with shrimp and rice. I also like ramen that has claims in it. I love how thick the noodles are. Other foods that I like to eat are rice cake and seaweed. Other thing I Love about being a military child is that I meet new teachers like Mrs. Smalls. Mrs. Smalls is the best teacher ever. She is nice and kind. She is like my brother's teacher. I also love making new friends like Penelope and Gage.
My least favorite part about being a military child is leaving my pets behind. I have two dogs living with my grandmother in the USA. When my dad goes away, he always calls, sends messages, or pictures. I don't like flying on airplanes to move to new places. I am scared while riding airplanes because I do not know what is going to happen, my baby brother screams on planes which hurts my ears, and I am scared of heights. That is why it is difficult for me to fly. T
Being a military child can be hard but fun. I love being a military child and I love living in Okinawa.
