Being a military child is something we’re told to celebrate and be proud of because this life is so full of opportunities to take advantage of and be thankful for. For the most part, this is true. I’ve traveled all over and have had so many experiences that a non-military child wouldn’t even consider. Although, it's not as perfect as it seems. Limited time and losing friends becomes normal. Having a parent who spends much time away isn't anything new. Our way of living teaches us to adapt, but also leaves us hurt. So, as much as our lifestyles are glamorized, the behind the scenes isn’t all diamonds and jewels.
