Being A Military Child

Being a military child could give you advantages but you could also have a downfall.

Because you have parents in the Navy, even though you’ll have a good school, and a good education, you will still be away from your parents, because every now and then ships are going on deployment. Especially for kids, they always have to move. If kids make really good friends and aren’t in contact with each other, they could lose someone they know, unless they were to keep something to remember them. It could also be an advantage because, since kids around the world have parents in the military, they’re always moving. If they get lucky they could go somewhere they want to, but they would be moving more and more away from home. Even if they do move, they only stay wherever they are for 2-5 years unless they are a Registered citizen.

I’ve had a lot of fun, being able to move around being to many places such as San Diego, The Philippines, Nebraska, Washington, and Japan. Military children are so strong and resilient. I’ve been able to learn many more facts about different countries and cultures just by being a military child. I’ve been able to meet so many new people and adapt to my new home. I love being a military child because I’m able to go to so many places I want to. I love being a military child because I’m able to experience what it’s like around the world. I also get to learn new traditions. The month of the military child is in April, and we celebrate it by wearing purple but not just one color. On Monday you wear school colors , on Tuesday you wear something a military related outfit, on Wednesday, that's when you wear purple, on Thursday you wear red, white, and blue, and on Friday you dress up as your favorite superhero . In conclusion, these are the pros and cons of being a military child.
