Whenever I think of military children I think of my family. My family has moved all around the states and now we are stationed overseas in South Korea. Moving can be hard but very worth it! When you move you will have to say goodbye to your friends, but as military kids we are able to quickly make new friends wherever we go. At first moving to Korea seemed to be our hardest move, but it ended up being fun. We make great friends wherever we go, and our friend groups just keep growing! Moving overseas was really hard, but now we love it here! There was a big transition to move from the States to overseas. We couldn’t take all of our stuff to Korea, so we had to get rid of a bunch, and put some into storage. It also took a long time for our stuff to arrive, so living without our things was also hard. Since all military families go through this same thing, we found that a lot of people were willing to help us along the way. That is also a way that I have found that we take care of our military kids and families. We are one big family! Since moving here, I have made a whole bunch of new friends and I love my teacher. She is the best! If I hadn’t moved I wouldn’t have her as my teacher and I wouldn’t have met these friends. We are happy to be a military family and I am happy to be a military kid. Being a military kid can be stressful, but I am proud to be one!
