When your parents have to go it is hard because you miss them and you worry about them. That is one way it is sad to have a parent go on a trip. That happened to me once when I was born, he was gone when I was born and that was sad. You also have to leave friends behind and that is sad because they might have been a super good friend. Leaving friends is so sad because you had good memories with them. That happened to me, I had to leave my friends and I had very good memories. Lastly, you have to leave pets behind, and you could have had that pet for a while and that would be sad to let them go. Because that happened to me once with my hermit crab and one of my dogs.

Some amazing things about being a military child is you get to experience new houses, and that can be very fun because they can be big, they can be medium sized, they could be quite small and they could have a cool basement with big rooms and there's lots of other ways it can be cool. Because once I had a huge house with a huge basement and lots of rooms and a huge upstairs and I would always play up there and I'd be running around because it was such a big space. Another way that is amazing to be a military child is you get to meet new people and it is good because you might not have any friends with you and that can be disappointing. If you don't have any friends you don't know what to do if you're bored. Because once when I moved I did not have a friend but then someone invited me to come play with them and we became best friends. Lastly, another way it can be amazing to be a military child is you can go on an airplane and that can be very fun because you can get special food and you get to watch TV and you are up in the air and that could be cool. That happened to me when I came to Okinawa. When I was on the plane I had a good time because I watched TV, ate special food, and I was in the air.
