I have been a military child half my life. I lived in America for 5 years then I moved to Sasebo, Japan and stayed there for three years then I moved to Okinawa and have been here for two years. When I heard that we were moving to Sasebo I got very sad and cried saying bye to my preschool teachers. Before I had moved to Sasebo, I thought my life was not going to be fun or happy, but I was very wrong. In Sasebo I had a fun time and went to many places around Japan. In Sasebo our neighbors became very close to us, as well as a lot of other people which made it even harder to move on and say goodbye to them. Even though it is sad to leave people and to say goodbye, it is also good to make new friends and new relationships so everywhere you go don’t think about leaving, think about meeting new people. Also, in Okinawa we are making good relationships with our neighbors so when we leave, I will miss them.
