The reason why military kids would react like that is because you might have been born in California but they grew up in Texas but you do not consider Texas as your home. Another reason is that you don’t consider a place to be your home, it's the people who have been there since birth. For example, I was born in Florida but I grew up in North Carolina, a little bit Texas, & Maryland. But I consider my home to be North Carolina, Virginia, & Georgia because that is where most of my family lives there.
