The Military Child

The life of a military child is hard but rewarding. A military life opens an infinite number of opportunities for everyone, like meeting new people, going to special parties, seeing members of the corps in uniforms and dresses, while experiencing traditions that go down for centuries. Although being in the military is rewarding and empowering, it is also difficult. These difficulties could include frequently moving from one job or school to another, maintaining lifelong relationships, and being apart from family. In contrast, it can make you mentally and perhaps physically strong. That is why it is important to have a strong relationship with your family and friends so that they can give you advice through the bad and celebrate the good times.

We are all here to support the mission. The meaning of “supporting the mission” is different for all military personnel. Teachers might say that it is “aiming to provide students the same level of education that you would have in the United States” and the list could go on. My definition of supporting the mission is knowing that the community and base are defending and supporting everyone through all the hardships, and standing up for what is right for us, our community, and for our nation. The accomplishment of this role in the military should not only be acknowledged but truly honored.
