The sacrifice that most affects me is leaving my friends and family behind. Friends are a big thing to me; I have a hard time becoming best friends with people. So, once you become my best friend, you will always be my best friend. When I moved to Japan, I left behind my best friends Mia and Naimah. Naimah was my best friend since 5th grade. She was my first friend at that school. Mia is the person I could relate to the most because we are both Hispanic and have a lot of things in common. I had to leave them behind but with a promise: no matter what and no matter how long I am gone, we will never stop being best friends. This is the most important sacrifices of a military kid.
