As long as I can remember, I lived in Hawaii. Even though I was born in San Diego, California, all I remember was living in Hawaii. When my dad told us we were getting orders to Japan, my heart sank into my chest. I thought about what was going to happen because I was moving away from my home. Everyone I knew was in Hawaii; I didn’t know anyone in Japan. The next day when I went to school, I told my best friend and she broke into tears. Then our family had to tell our family. They were not understanding about us moving to Japan. On our pack-out day, my sister told our parents that she wanted to stay in Hawaii. So, she did, and when we moved to Japan, I cried my eyes out. Finally, I got used to living here and now I like it.
