Hi my name is Kai and being a military child is wonderful but there are some downsides to it, so let me tell you what a ‘’military brat’’ goes through. The first thing that a military child goes through is P.C.S, and that means moving somewhere. Possibly to another country!
The first good part is moving schools. When you're in a new school you may be afraid, but you have a chance to make new friends or learn new things. The main thing is that you shouldn't be afraid to try new things. Another good thing is the culture, cultures help you respect the country no matter where you go.
You might feel sadness because you're leaving your friends and maybe your families, also you're probably used to your country but when you leave it's okay to feel sad especially when you're not used to a country that you have not been to before.
My advice is don't be afraid to try sports or food in a new country. The sports there might be fun and entertaining when you try it for the first time. The food there might look disgusting to you, but once you try it, It might be your favorite food.
I’ve lived in Spain, San Diego, and Okinawa, Japan! Some bases are just friendly neighborhoods, and some bases your parents have to drive you to places. Remember, try to make as many friends as possible. If you're nice they will know you as a nice person.
