I am kind and nice I wonder if kids that are not military kids have friends that last forever? I wonder why food in school isn't free, But I wonder, do nonmilitary kids know what the military feels? I see the cloudy skies I see raindrops pouring I want a BFF But I can't have one for long I am a military child
When I have to move, I pretend to be excited, But I cry when I leave friends behind. I worry when I feel like kids will make fun of me I cry when I leave stuff behind I am a military child
I understand leaving friends is hard I tell my friends, “Today will be my last day” We cry on my last day, We know we don't have a choice, but we try to find a way to stay I am a military child
I understand math and ELA, But school sometimes gets me frustrated everyday. Whenever I go out and play, I see an old vision of me and my old friend, Makes me sad, But I'm used to it. I'm a military child.
