How Being a Military Child is Worth It!

By Ezra H.

Hi, I’m Ezra and I’m going to talk about how being a military child is totally worth it. Being a military child can be tough. There’s many pros and cons. I’m gonna be talking about what being a military child is like. It is very interesting and fun. Sometimes it’s depressing and sad.

First, there’s a lot of pros. One is that you get many trips with your family. You can also move overseas while being a military child! That’s how I got to Germany! Being a military child can be awesome. You can also look and eat at all the different places with unique items. You can even meet new people that can speak different languages. You will get to explore new countries and houses. Many places are historical too. Being a military child can be fun, but there can be some cons to being a military child.

If you wanna be a military child, you’re gonna have some sad news. Many friends will leave or you will have to leave them. You will have to leave your favorite houses each three years. Next, you will constantly have to move. You will leave your schools and be new to other ones. Being a military child can be tough.

I have moved many times. I used to live in Omaha and Kansas. Kansas was my home state, but I wasn’t able to stay there very long. I lived in Omaha for a couple of years. They both are very blessed and have kind people. They have unique things about them.

After that, I moved to Nebraska. I had a lot of fun there. It has so many fun places and cool monuments. Nebraska is in the U.S.A. I lived in the United States for almost my whole life. I then moved to North Dakota, Grand Forks, where I lived for about 2 years. It was very snowy and cold up there. The best part was there were so many snow days!

We started wanting to get bored when my dad got a special notification. It said we could move to Germany! I was getting so excited. We were gonna live overseas! It was also gonna be some of my first airplane rides. It took a very long time. We eventually went to Germany, where I currently live in the Ramstein Air Force Base in Germany. Germany is very historical and you are blessed if you get to move overseas, It is very hard to do that.

Being a military child is worth it. There are many pros but few cons. You’ll get to meet many new people and move to awesome places. You might be lucky enough to move overseas too. The life of a military child is big and fun. There’s many new foods and items. You can also see castles, artifacts, and monuments.
