I am from the Land of Enchantment,

from the arid but beautiful; enchiladas and tamales.

I am from the El Aguila Real under the setting of the red sun.

It tasted or smelled like the sweet scent of the east and cherry blossoms.

I am from the glory of my country’s culture and rich and very deep history,

The one of which you find to make you change thoughts of Han-Geu-Geui

Whose great music and arts of it’s goodness I remember

as if they were my own.

I am from the best military and jet engines starting,

from Jacob and Eungi.

I am from the feeling of light heartedness

and the love of music and art,

from “REMOTE!!!”and “Get up!”

I am from the martial arts with tae-kwon-do and Hae Dong Gumdo

and ten defensive moves I can do myself.

I’m from the Entertainment Capital of the World and wild mustangs,

sage bush and even area 51.

From the spread of a dandelion lost to the nature of our military

to the hot ballooning used to keep my head above the water.

Under my bed were sweet memories spilling purple as of a reminder of who I am

of the Land of Enchantment to drift beneath my dreams.

I am from those moments- of running before I have walked

I am a leaf carrying on the legacy from the family tree.
