Lillia
Osan Middle/High School
I am from flowers on a sunny day, From golden honey and fresh air. I am from the planes under wispy clouds. It tasted like orchid, the strongest of pinks. I am from fluffy bumblebees and big annoying wasps, The world is a different place – better or worse, Whose views I remember As if they were my own.
I am from a cornsilk dandelion and a bright fuchsia lily From Lillie and Noe. I am from the hilarious And the kind, From “Shut up!!” and “May you be quiet.” I am from the clear golden honey With a meadow full of views and truth And ten pieces of cake I can serve myself.
I’m from a bright yellow dandelion and an orchid pink lily, Glistening purple stars in a dark blue sky. From the clear sugar crystals lost to the bright amber honey To the night owls under the light of the full moon, Under my bed was a cup of water spilling shimmering radiant stars, A mysterious world of fantasy and nightmares To drift beneath my dreams. I am from those moments – as I walked and touched the fabric of existence. I am a leaf and I’m from the family tree. - Inspired by George Ella Lyon
