Military Child

Imagine an empty house with nothing other than a blanket and you are about to move. That is what it is like being a military child. However, being a military child is also joyful, emotional, and full of wonders. It is joyful because you can travel to new places and have fun. It is emotional because sometimes you have to leave a friend or they have to leave you. It is full of wonders because you never know what may happen next. Keep reading to see what I put next.


It is joyful because I can go to new places, make new friends, and go to a new school. I can go to new places because my dad is in the military and has to move a lot. I can make new friends because it will be a new school and I will see new kids. I can go to new schools like when I came to Okinawa and ECK was a brand new school. It is emotional because you might have to leave a friend or they might have to leave you because your mom or dad got orders. Just knowing that you won't see them in a year or two is sad because you might not see them again. Your mom or dad might go to war and that is sad because they might die and you will not see them again. Keep reading to find out my 3rd reason.


It is full of wonders because you travel to new places, go to new schools, and make new friends. Traveling to new places is wondrous because you do not know what there is to explore. You go to new schools and your mind will wonder what the school is like. Making new friends is full of wonders because you might not know them that much of how they are.
