Being a Military Child has its ups and downs. A LOT of ups and downs. Sure, it IS cool that my Dad is serving in the military and protecting the community. However, there are some times that are pretty awful for me and my family. For example, my Dad sometimes has to leave for a couple of weeks and he even left for about 9 months for deployment, don’t get me started on the injuries, too. I get it, being in the military means that there are going to be injuries for sure. But I still feel bad when my dad comes home with a twisted ankle or something. Although I feel sad when my Dad has to leave for a couple of days, weeks, maybe even months. I am still proud that my dad and other military people are serving our community and making sure we all stay safe My name is Gia and I am a Military Child.
