My month of the military child essay

Hi my name is Jonathan Clarke and this is how my Dad is working to serve the military has changed my life. When my Dad started working for the military we had to move from California to South Korea. My Father working for the Army as a civilian has many benefits.

Because my Dad works to serve the military I can go to school on base. Even though I live in Korea because my dad works for the Army I can go to an American school. Going to an English speaking school means I can make friends easier.

Moving to South Korea has changed every member of my family's lives, but let’s talk about my personal experiences. The apartment where I live is in the city of Daegu. Daegu is a much larger city than the one I once lived in. Back home I lived in a house, now I live in an apartment with an elevator.

I've made Korean friends and I play soccer with them too. Since moving to Korea I’ve played new sports I’ve never played before. The first sport I played while in Korea was soccer. It's a great hobby when you get the hang of it. I also learned how to play basketball. I got a star performer trophy for basketball.

Moving to a new country, starting at a new school, playing sports for the first time, and making new friends, and that's how my dad working for the military has changed my life.
