Being a military child is cool. There are a lot of pros, but there is one huge con. A con that tears you. But let's talk about pros, being a military child means that the workers on base adore you, and you get a lot of free stuff. The most important part is that the base keeps you safe and sound. The place that you live on base is probably pretty cool! There is one huge con and it's when you make a friend and one day they just disappear it makes you feel alone, and I started in the 3rd quarter in 4th grade. When 5th grade came around, I knew nobody. One of my best friends is moving the day after summer, and I know I'm not going to take that well. So, when you make friends cherish those moments because you don’t want to lose them. Being a military child also means your parents can go on a fly at any time, and they can be gone for days or weeks and even months and years. And at any time, they could go to war. Thinking about that kills me. So, if I were you, I would take care of them, because they are your shining light and they will always be there for you. And you could lose that light at any time.
