At first, I thought being a military child would make me sad, since I would have to move all the time. Every couple of years I would leave all my friends, then I remembered I would just make more friends when I moved. I wouldn’t forget all my old friends, I would just make more where I lived. I never know if I will see them again. I have moved a lot of times because my dad is in the military. I have moved to Okinawa two times; I moved when I was in 1st grade and stayed for three years. Then I came back in 5th grade. I have loved everywhere I have lived. Being a military child has not made my life sadder; it has made my life better. It has let me try more things. It has changed my life. Being a military child is amazing. When you start to get used to it, it is cool to go to new places. Also, since I moved to Okinawa, I am close to other places in Asia, so my parents like to travel to them during my breaks like winter break or spring break. If I wasn’t a military child, I probably wouldn’t have moved to other places that aren’t in the US. Being a military child doesn’t always make you happy, but when you get used to your new community it's amazing.
