I see the first of the market vendors sell fresh fruit on the sidewalk

I want to cherish many memories in this beautiful country

I pretend that I am a soldier, fighting through life's challenges

I feel the cold water on the beach as it brushes my toes

I touch the hard, stone wall as I walk through the streets of Seoul

I laugh as my brothers argue about who gets the remote controller first

I cry as I watch my grandparents go to a better place, one by one

I am a son from a military family

I understand that my life will always never be perfect

I say that I wish to become a better person, every day

I dream that I can cherish life to its fullest

I try to be the best student I can possibly be in the classroom

I hope that the world starts to understand about life and its imperfections
