Boxes and goodbyes,

Salutes and hugs,

Is what I go through,

When I leave my old life.

New places and new friends,

I'm surprised I wasn’t shy!

Getting new friends is great and all,

But what’s going to happen to the old ones?

I hope my old friends don’t replace me,

Because I never would.

They helped me grow!

They helped me understand,

That being lonely can hurt.

They helped me with life!

I would like to thank my friends,

For teaching me how to be independent,

Yet open.

I would like to thank my friends for everything,

Because without them.

I would be nothing.
