To be a military child means to be resilient, strong, and adaptive. As a military child, I need to have the ability to come back from setbacks and continue to persevere. As a military child I need to be strong, not just physically, but mentally. I need to be able to handle the mental responsibilities of being a military child in a foreign country, whether it be respecting the culture, not being a problem on base or in the community, or even just being there to help support my family. As a military child I need to be able to adapt to new places and new people. Having to move to a completely new place every three years is difficult but I am lucky enough for those places to be close together considering the size of the world.
