My military friends aren’t much different from a non-military friend, personally. One major difference is their experience of moving. Hearing the experiences felt like it was a free trip at first, but I was wrong. Most of my military friends explain how frustrating it can be to move from a different country to another in the span of 4 years or even shorter. When they finally feel comfortable staying in the country they’re in, suddenly moving to a new school is a whole reset to making new friends and socializing all over again. Some might actually want to move and experience a new life again to become a better person. It’s unfortunate how having a military family isn’t all so simple, since it’s so unpredictable that the dad or the mom would have to leave and no one can fully answer if they’ll come back safe and sound. I don’t know much about what my dad did, but he was in the Navy for around 2 to 3 years I’m assuming. I’m glad he graduated out of it or else it could cause an immense stress to the whole family, especially my mom. I lived in one location my entire life and just thinking about moving to the mainland doesn’t sound so pleasing, especially on my own. I’m glad to have my family all in one place and not having to always separate ways from the opposite side of the world.
