Where I Am From

I am from few places

Places that are connected

And places that aren’t

Days go by and then it’s time

I am from the Sunshine State

A place so bright yet unknown

Planes take me away

And now Germany is the place I stay

So I think

A blink of the eye

And I’m somewhere new

I blink and here I am

I am from the Magnolia State

A place that becomes my new home

Days go by yet it stays the same

No new home

Years pass and eventually I move

Yet I would come back after a year or two

A place forever burned in memory

And then a new place opens its arms

I am from Japan

A place so beautiful and pink

Sweet smells of cherry blossom unforgotten

A country that has won a special place in my heart

To stay would be a dream

Moving around has me saying

Where I am from
