A dandelion seeds always spread

As the daughter of an airman, it is hard to make friends without knowing that you will never see them again in two to four years. It is always hard to tell your friends this might be the last time you will ever see them. But all bad things have a good side, you get to meet new people and connect with them in ways you didn’t know you could. You get to experience beautiful cultures and sites. I can’t put my finger on the word…

The challenges of moving are always hard, like packing out the dreadful task of cleaning the deep corners of your closet. Every little thing affects like your bed being sold or having to clean, reminds you more and more that you are moving. Soon, you and your friends would have to say goodbye. But by far, moving into a new school is the hardest; the new people, new teachers, everything is hard.

Okinawa was my first overseas move, and it was scary. It was also during the pandemic, and I had no idea what was going on, so that made it even worse. When we got to our house, we had to go into quarantine for 14 days as soon as we got there. Everyone in our neighborhood was so nice to us, and they made sure that we had all we needed. It has been four years since we got here, and now we are heading to Germany for our last assignment.

The dandelion to me means that you will always leave a little of yourself in your last assignment. Your friends will always stay with you, and you will never forget the times you had with them. From becoming exited that you made it into the tallent show to saying goodbye. Bitter sweat that is what it is you have amazing moments and some sad ones, but being a military child is one of the best things that has ever happend to me.
