Growing up as a military child has shaped my identity in profound ways. My father served in the military long before my birth, and now he continues his commitment as a civilian for the government. This unique upbringing has afforded me the opportunity to experience life in various locations, including Hawaii, Japan, South Korea, and even Germany, where I was born.

Each of these places has left its mark on me. Living in Hawaii, I learned to appreciate the beauty of nature and the importance of community. The vibrant culture and friendly locals taught me the significance of connection and adaptability. In Japan, I was immersed in a rich cultural heritage that valued respect and tradition. This experience helped me develop an appreciation for diversity and respect for different ways of life.

My Anne in South Korea deepened my understanding of resilience. I encountered challenges, such as making new friends in unfamiliar environments and navigating different educational systems. These experiences taught me the importance of flexibility and perseverance.

Being a military child has also fostered a sense of pride in my family's service. I am grateful for the sacrifices my parents made and the lessons I learned along the way. The friendships I've formed with other military families have instilled in me the value of camaraderie and support.

As I reflect on my journey, I recognize that my experiences have not only shaped who I am but have also prepared me for life's challenges ahead. Being a military brat is more than a title; it‘s a cornerstone of my identity.
