Being a Military Child

Hello, this is my feelings about being a military child. My step dad has been in the military for about 11 years. I’m only 10 so I haven't known all of it, but it started when I was 3 months old. I had to move a lot so I had to leave my fiends. Right now, I'm in Korea and soon moving to Colorado. I've moved almost 4 times!

Leaving my friends and family is hard, but I got used to it. I always make new friends and call my family. In Korea the base is closing down.

My step dad is retiring so we have to find a new job and find more ways to get money. It gets sad at times when my step dad has to leave. I miss him but I know he will come back. Changing school can also been hard too, but I know the people there are good. It can be fun to try new things in different places. In Korea I learned the different culture besides the American culture and it is cool. I always visit or have family visit me. As I move, I have new experiences like going to the 5th tallest building in the world.

It's been hard, but we must have my step dad do his job for money and a good life.

I know I will be fine as long as I make friends and see my family. My brother was born while my dad was fighting in war so that was a downside. This was a fun experience to travel to new places and make new friends.
