Seoul, South Korea
My name is Richard, and I attend Seoul American Elementary School. I am 10 years old and I am good at math. I never moved anywhere outside Seoul, but I travel a lot with my family. My dad works in Pyeongtaek during the week, and only comes home on weekends. A negative side of being a military child is when my dad is working and I get stuck on a problem. I really want his help, but he can’t help me when he’s not around.
Being a military child is good because you can go to a good school on base that prepares you for a good future. There are millions of reasons why being a military child is good. At the same time, being a military child is hard because your dad needs to work a lot or he is away from home often. I am proud to be a military child even if my dad is not always around because he is able to take good care of us.
