I am from Queens and Kings, From Big Ben and the eye of the wheel. I am from the shadows under the tower. It smelled like tea. I am from castles to planes, the grass fields Whose mild breezes I remember As if they were my own.
I am from the Lonely Island and cattle and BBQ, from Government Issue and Stay-at-Home. I am from the Eskimo and green eyes, from “You’re grounded!” and “Go to your room!” I am from the Lone Star with the 10-hour rides and ten journeys I can experience myself.
I’m from books and baseball, to Minecraft and Undertale. From the memories lost to the clouds to the stories used to keep in the attic. Under my bed was a journal spilling letters, a stream of my life to drift beneath my dreams. I am from those moments jogging before I tripped. I am a leaf growing from the family tree.
